“It’s snowing!” shouted Polby when he looked out the window one bright Saturday morning. “And on a Saturday, no less!”
Dwuff, his best friend, came barging into the room which he shared with Huggies. “Did you steal my hoodie again??????” he asked loudly, and then looked out of the window. “Oh my nutcrackers and mice and dried apricots! It’s SNOWING! HALLELUJAH!”
Polby rolled his eyes at his friend. He glued his face to the window as he watched the snow fall outside. “So what are you waiting for? It’s Saturday. Let’s go get breakfast and let’s go outside.”
And so they did so. Out the door, out the garage door, into…the world of snow.
A lovely blanket of pure white snow was thickly spread across the world outside, covering the little blades of grass that peeked their tiny heads through.
Polby and Dwuff stared for a few moments.
Then, they trooped out. Polby, the ever goof-off, marched out the door leaning on Dwuff’s head.
The bears walked through the wondrous snow.
“It’s so powdery and fluffffffffffffffffy!” Dwuff squealed as he tumbled. Then, feeling like he should add some excitement, he shouted to Polby, “Catch me if you can!”
They were off. Polby chased Dwuff like a madman and Dwuff ran like a lunatic.
(The human in the background, shoveling snow).
They kept running and running…
And running and running…
Until Polby finally gave up.
And so did Dwuff.
Then, they frolicked.
A mischievous look arose in Polby’s eyes when he got an idea. Rushing forward, he caught Dwuff by surprise and facewashed him in the snow.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!” screeched Dwuff. “You will pay, my friend. I will take revenge, my friend. Beware, my friend. Beware very much, my wonderful frien-”
Just then, the human volunteered to shovel a pathway through the snow on the driveway as a little path for the bears.
The twosome eagerly watched as the pathway was broken through.
While the human continued shoveling, Polby and Dwuff attacked a snowhill.
Finally climbing up, they lay on top.
And shared secrets.
“Wahoo!!!! A path through the snow!” Polby shouted, leaping forward off the snowhill and onto the driveway.
Dwuff followed him onto the cleared out path.
They parted directions at the fork in the path.
And when they reached the end, they attacked the snow again and made snow angels.
Then, they decided to build a snow man!
“Let’s make it big and tall and neat!” suggested Polby.
The two eagerly gathered up some snow.
Dwuff formed a snowball.
Polby took the snowball from him, and…
set it upright on the ground.
“THAT LOOKS HORRIBLEEEEEEEEE!” Dwuff shrieked.
“JUST BECAUSE OF YOUUUUUUU!” Polby returned.
He faceplanted onto the snowman and sent the contents of the snowball flying away.
Dwuff, in turn, wrestled Polby to the ground.
Polby, laughing, gathered up some snow and heaped it on Dwuff’s head. And when Dwuff was still stunned and shrieking revenge…
He wrestled him. And that’s how their crazy snow adventure came to an end.
