Sister Saturday – Sisterly Snow Photography {Stuffie Takeover #5}

Kenzie: Snow, snow, snow! I LOVEEEEEE snow!

Brookie: I know, right? It’s like a beautiful white blanket covering everything (except those stubborn blades of grass you see in the background of this picture).

Kenzie: *sighs dreamily before snapping back to reality* Today is Sister Saturday of Stuffie Takeover Week – the first week of every month were instead of our owners making posts about us, we stuffies get to write posts ourselves in a set schedule! Check out our STW page if you’d like to learn more. Sister Saturday is hosted by me and my baby sister Brookie.

Brookie: Excuse me? BABY sister?

Kenzie: Ahem. Today, for Sister Saturday, we’re going to show you some pictures that Tilly — the ever-obsessed photographer — took of us. These pictures were taken outside when a new coat of snow had fallen! I really like this one, do you? It brings out the pretty expression on Brookie’s face.

Brookie: *blushes* Thanks sis!

Kenzie: You can see the snow in the background, I hope. Isn’t snow pretty? But I have to admit, I am rather glad that according to the weather report, tomorrow will be a warm day again. I’m a little sick of the cold spell.

Brookie: Have you ever noticed that our sewn facial expressions kind of correlate with our personality?

Kenzie: Whaat? I detect hindsight bias.

Brookie: No, but really. Look at your face in this pic: it’s more serious, protecttive, and sweet. Mine is more on the mischievous side: bubbly, friendly, and laughing. I can’t stop laughing even in pictures.

Kenzie: Well, now…now that I think about it…yeah, kind of. Hey, I have an idea: why don’t you give our readers a little update on our lives!

Brookie: Okay…there’s not much to tell. But let me try.

  1. I’ve been annoying Kenzie by pulling a bunch of pranks on her.
  2. The two of us are practicing a piano duet!! It’s called “Spanish Dance” and it’s so much fun! We get to perform the duet in our piano studio’s spring recital, and we also get to play it in a duet competition that is coming up soon.
  3. School is starting up again after Winter Break. 😦 Kenzie is excited, and I don’t see how. No more freedom. (Did you know that my least favorite subject is geography? I literally can’t stand it. Like, even math is better).

That’s all I can think of for now.

Kenzie: That’s all I can think of for now, too! Except that I made blueberry scones this morning and they were really good.

Brookie: Yeah, and you nearly burned the house down in the process. Go you!

Kenzie: *coughs* Hey!

Brookie: I love this picture! It should be like, our new official sister photograph or something!

Kenzie: That was short! But hey, don’t blame us…it was FREEZING! Brookie was complaining and I was eager for Saturday (A FREEEEEEEE DAY FROM SCHOOL), plus Tilly (who was taking pictures for us) wasn’t wearing gloves, and thus by the end her hands were so cold they were numb. XD We were all glad to get back into the toasty house again and curl up on the couch with a book and a mug of tea. 🙂

Brookie: And then just as I was beginning on the first chapter of The Hiding Place, there was a terrific shriek from Tilly, who was sitting at her desk looking at the camera lenses.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“That’s just condensation,” know-it-all Kenzie said. “Don’t panic, it happens all the time, a few rounds of condensation won’t kill your camera. I know some tips on prevention, but Google what to do if it already has moisture.”

Tilly frantically removed the memory card and battery, detached the lenses, wiped the lenses, and started up her laptop. She searched up “what to do when your camera condenses.”

I peeked over her shoulder. “1. Don’t detach the lenses,” I read.

“Oops,” mumbled a chagrined Tilly.

“2. Don’t wipe the lenses,” I continued.

“Oops,” she mumbled again.

“3. Seal it in an airtight plastic Ziploc bag.”

That was done pretty quickly. Don’t worry, the camera was completely fine and we probably didn’t need any of that precaution…

Kenzie: I hope you’ve enjoyed this short little photo shoot full of updates and rambles! And I hope you’ve enjoyed your Saturday, too. 😉

Brookie: And I’m sorry for the lack of featured images lately! Rebekah is usually the one who makes all our featured images, and if it’s not her, it’s Owly. But since Rebekah is banned from the blog during Stuffie Takeover Week, and Owly is busy building his new app, there aren’t any for now. But don’t worry, we’ll upload them in, later!

Is it snowing where you live?

  1. It snowed a lot here a couple of days ago. . . when it said “fog on the lense” I thought it said “frog on the lense.” I was like, WHAT??? HOW IS THERE A FROG ON THE LENSE???? But then I reread it and . . . yeah. 🙂 Kenzie and Brookie are so adorable!!!! Kenzie is in red, right?
