Hi everyone! Guess what…….it’s Stuffie Takeover Week again!!! Raise your hand if you’re excited! (I can’t really see you raise your hand, but oh well, you should do it anyways) :). Stuffie Takeover Week is the first week of every month, in which instead of our owners making posts featuring us, we will have a chance to make the posts and manage the blog ourselves!
For today’s post, since its the fourth of July tomorrow (*squeals*), I decided to show you guys how to make a banner and posters you can use to decorate your party!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Red, White, and Blue Construction Paper
- A sheet of white cardstock paper (for the posters)
- Markers/Ink Pens
- Glitter! (Or anything else you would like to decorate your crafts with)
For the banner, Baby wanted to help me out, and Cherry wanted to help make the posters, so you’ll see them in this post! (also, thanks to DD for taking the pictures!) (ikr- super surprising since he’s always so grouchy) (haha, I’d better not let him see this)
Let’s get started!
Here’s Baby and I goofing around the supplies we’re going to be using. 😛
To make the banner, you are going to need a few pieces of paper. You could just use white paper, and add designs with markers, or you could use red and blue paper as the base or as cutouts.
Baby cutting out the triangles….
And here they are! (if you’re wondering, I’m laughing in this picture because Baby just said something really funny)
Now, its up to you to draw on the designs of your choice. We had a ton of fun with this part!
Here are our designs! We did some cute stripes, starts, and even put gold glitter on a few of them!
For this next step, you’ll need some yarn or twine to string the triangles on.
And here is our finished fourth-of-July themed banner! It looks great hanging on our door, and would work anywhere as decoration for a party. Great job, Baby!
Now onto the posters I made with Cherry!
This DIY is pretty simple. All you’ll need to do is to cut out pieces of cardstock of your desired size and decorate them with calligraphy, markers, glitter, doodles, or anything you’d like.
Cherry and I decided to make three posters for our party tomorrow, and I love how they turned out!
Aren’t they so pretty? And perfect for the fourth of July!
Here are all of our decorations up on the door!
That’s all for this post! I hope you guys enjoyed reading it, and maybe you might even be able to make some posters or banners yourself to use tomorrow! It doesn’t really matter whether you’re having a party or not; it’s nice just to have some patriotic decorations in your room or by your desk!
Well, bye everyone! I hope you all have an amazing day tomorrow!
